About us

We are George and Cora, the team behind GenossenSchaffen. George is a software engineer and Cora is a stem cell researcher; we met during our studies. We moved to Zurich in 2020 and love the city. You’ll often find us at a community centre (GZ) or on the playground. In summer we spend a lot of time at Lake Zurich with our 3-year-old daughter, and in winter we appreciate being so close to the Alps. We’re nature lovers who enjoy hiking and outdoor sports like jogging and swimming. Cora is a former competitive swimmer and loves the many pools across the city. We truly love our new home.

There’s just one snag: rents are steep. Cooperatives are far more reasonable, but checking so many websites for new listings is tedious. So we created GenossenSchaffen.
